new to SH3, looking for help
 

I just downloaded SH3 and am looking to spend my vacation doing some hunting. I took a quick look through the forums, and dang there's a lot of stuff here.

I tried downloading a few things, like the JSGME and had some difficulties. I got a window asking what APP I would like to use to open it, so I couldn't download it.

Second, there's a ton of mods. Where should I start?

Pointing me to a link would be fine, thanks.

The downloads are usually zip files. I use 7Zip to unzip/open them, it is free and will unzip most any zip file you will encounter.
