Webster's Sub Draft Fix for v1.4 and v1.5 fixes that problem, the link and download is here

That's a defect shared by many of the missions: you are in a position you would never put yourself in during a campaign: on the surface, engines off, in the sights of ten rather large warships carrying multiple guns apiece.
That's why I just don't play the missions. If you go a campaign all that goes away. Ubi did a LOUSY job of designing missions. |

I never play the missions in either SH3 or SH4. If not for the campaign feature of both sims I would have walked away long ago.
What I enjoy is the thrill of hearing "radar contact!!"(sh4) or "ship sighted"(sh3) after days or weeks of empty sea. Rushing to the bridge to assess the situation and form an attack or evasion plan is to my mind more than half the fun of these games. |
Which is why I prefer drive fast attack nuclear subs - you could select where and when you attack a specific surface group/ship.

You can also use the mission editor to move your sub farther away

So what is with the posting of a question then going back and deleting the text and adding NNN so no one can read it. Kind of tard thinking if you ask me. does he do this on every post ... it sure seems like it.
People learn from the questions. |

It might be he had difficulty because of the language thing. It's hard to follow technical tutorials in English, if it's not your native language. |
