Is there a fix for the Captain's promotion screen for American Career
 

As the title says, is there a fix for the captain's promotion menu for the American career? Also is it even possible to get promoted like in the German career?

I know for a fact that in the SH4 US Pacific side you do get promoted if you aren't an idiot ( not 'you' specifically ....lol )

The way you know is you are addressed by your rank, then name when receiving decorations.

I'm in my very first Pacific Campaign. Isn't it odd that I've been promoted to CDR and then CAPT, yet the game never announced it, unlike when I received post patrol awards?

Do you get any of the special abilities like in the U-boat missions?

In the Stock game yes, I'm only 99.9% sure it is "like in the U-boat missions" because I only play the US boats in the Pacific. Some mods change them or remove some.

There are two types of Abilities, one is all the time and the second is only for a 'short' specific amount of time. If that is how the U-boats have them, they are similar.
