I have forgotten how to use a particular point-and-shoot method
 

I'm not talking about the Auto TDC method with the three circles. There was something I did in the manual targeting mode where all I had to do was hit the Space bar to lock the target and fire immediately afterwards. I've been searching all over but am getting lost in a sea of posts! Does anyone know what I am talking about? I keep thinking there was something in the manual mode where I clicked on some option and it allowed me to do this.

In case it makes a difference, I am using the Wolves of Steel mod. Thanks in advance for any help you can manage. :)
