Gato Class submarine... Merchant?

I am in operation drumbeat, and see a American submarine. gato class. But it states in the map it is a square!

Is this normal? And how am I supposed to sink it? I can't use deck gun, rough weather

A torpedo should do it. Not much tonnage to be gained though.

True. But I had one strafe my conning tower with a deck gun. Herr 20,000 Leagues doesn't let that kind of slight go unanswered! :haha:
