Hi Donna, if i dump on your country please dont take it the wrong way, its the Australian way of life to take the piss out of everyone and everything but it is all in jest, it gets us in trouble a lot but we cant help it but if people give it back as good as we give we have made a friend for life ( except for kiwis ) so i will cross my legs for now and hope for the best :salute:

Dear dear Donna,
Love means never having to say you're sorry.
All of us with even a hint of neurons know why you occasionally toss a table. It's to vent frustration and my philosophy has always been... Better out than in. Still, there is hope for you yet as time passes. You will eventually reach the point where your Auntie Sally will cease her monthly visits and all will be right with your world.:woot: Try to remember that those who display disrespect of others or the place they call home, are just jealous and need to get a life or maybe just a friendly, understanding hug or two. Finding a sense of humor would be even better.:haha: |

:haha: Which country are we referring to? |
Eh, everyone has a bit of 'My country right or wrong' from time to time, and every major power gets their share of ripping when they're in the limelight. What America is going through is no more or less what we went through in the 1800s. If the internet had been around in Victorian times then there would be angry postings against British policy.
Just remember, if you get angry, just sit down and have a cup of tea... http://etc.usf.edu/clipart/29900/299...a_29900_md.gif http://drawchan.net/dc/djc/src/134516912634.gif http://rs1img.memecdn.com/operation-..._c_2819259.jpg :03: :haha: :salute: |

I'm just the opposite. For every bad thing someone else can say about my country, I can think of five more. Everybody has problems, and nobody's perfect. It's fine if you want to blame somebody else; almost everybody does. The bigger you are, and the more influence you have, the more some people are going to hate you. There are countries that are doing better in some areas. Good. It's also true that we all have something to learn.
America's pride really comes from the fact that we started this whole "No kings or queens, we can govern ourselves" thing. That said, we got the idea from others (Ancient Greeks, Enlightenment English and French, and more). We did turn it around and put those ideas into action, but not always in the best way. Who does? Part of the problem I see is worrying too much about what other people think. There are people who like you and people who don't. Somebody puts down me, or my friends, or my country, that's their problem, not mine. Another thing to consider is whether an angry reaction is really because we secretly think they might be right. Still not worth it. Unless they actually endanger any of the above it's not worth the time to even think about it, let alone get angry. |
cara mia!

None of us is as wise as all of us.
