Long time reader, short time player needs help!
 

Ahoy my friends. I haven't really had time, til now to really immerse myself in Silent Hunter IV. I have read the downloads to make the game even more pleasing to the eye and hears however, I keep getting errors of over-writes when I try installing them. Does someone have a suggest list of mods that I could add to give my weather, water and boat to sound and look more "real", without the conflicts? I'm not ready yet to use the realistic gameplay/model mods since I'm still learning the ropes of running my new boat :arrgh!:. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of the over-writes are intentional - you're replacing original files with new files

You want to start off with your super mod of choice and associated patch(s). Then go with the next large mod of choice such as RSRDC or OTC. Then start adding the small mods. Test each time to make sure the game runs right. It takes a lot of time, but is worth it.
