sink every ship or only the ones in the patrol area?
Hi,
on my way to my patrol area I have sighted a ship. But it is not in the patrol area. Will this tonnage be added if I sink it? Or do I first have to go to the patrol area and after that returning home I can sink additional ships outside? THX McM |
If it's anything like SH3 and SH4 (and I don't see why they would change that) then you're credited for anything you sink, no matter where or when. You're primary job is to sink enemy shipping.

To complete an objective aka campaign goal you need to sink certain ships in certain areas. For example, "sink 200 000 tons in British coastal waters" means you need to sink 200 000 tons of merchant shipping neat British coast.

Hi MCM
If your game uses the tonnage bar then no it will not count. Only ships in the Patrol Area will count. Even the ships you sink in the Patrol Area not all of them count. If you have a tonnage bar problem or not just use my tutorial post #188 and make all ships count. Even better still use The Wolves Of Steel mega mod and use the Free Style play that Sailor Steve was referring too. Peter |

Thanks for straightening me out. On the other hand, five years after its release they still come up with new ways to make it worse. Why would anybody play this? Quote:

Hello;
I am in mission in british coast ( 1939) , I saw a vessel of Belgium . Looking at sharts / flags , I see that it is Allied ( AL ) . But has a date 10.05.40 - 14.08.45, so I assumed they did not enter the war yet. But, If I sink it now, there is a penalty ? :arrgh!: Using WOS mod. :rock: Thanks |
