Seaview or Seaquest DSV?

Just a question to my fellow Captains:

Which is your favorite fictional Sub?

The Seaview from "Voyage to the bottom of the sea"

or The Seaquest from "Seaquest DSV"

Thanks for your opinion :salute:

As fictional subs go, I was always partial to Jules Verne's Nautilus myself. :D

Ah.... The Nautilus I'm sure she has many fans (myself included) but I was asking about the two subs I mentioned.

Any sub with a pipe organ in it has my vote too

The Seaview, i loved that show.

I like them both but the Seaview has the flying sub.

Me too, but I'm more partial to the earlier B & W episodes that revolved around espionage and Cold War plot lines. Towards the end of it's run, Voyage seemed to degenerate into the monster-of-the-week show with the Seaview crew fighting undersea behemoths, aliens, leprechauns and ghosts.

In other words, it did a History Channel. :shifty:

I have to go with the Seaview. I always loved the huge window in front.

I'm more partial to the original movie. No flying sub, but it did have Barbara Eden. :sunny:

Oh, I also prefer the Seaview, but if you'd let the Nautilus in...

Torplexed 04-15-15 10:17 PM

Thought I'd give a honorable mention to the Beatles Yellow Submarine. Even as animation it was a bit surreal to watch as a lad in the Kadena Air Base cinema, but I still have a fond spot for it. :D

Barbara Eden...........:/\\k:

SeaQuest had it's babes too but Barbara Eden........:O:

There was a big difference between the movie sub and the TV sub with the Seaview. The bow observation windows were increased for the TV shooting model.

Is the USS Stingray from Down periscope fictional ??

:D

Seriously, I don't like all those future stuff in Seaquest. The Stingray is my favourite

The "Seaview"

I've never seen Seaquest DSV (has it even been on TV in the UK?) so it has to be the Seaview for me. We grew up with this series anyway, and loved it with a passion.

HW3 04-16-15 04:15 AM

Seaview for me.

Wolferz 04-16-15 05:49 AM

Hands down...

The Seaview!
