Blackwater guards sentenced

They were found guilty in the killing of 17 Iraqi civilians back in 2007. One got life the other 3 got 30 years.

Good to hear, sad anyways.

Well they're lucky! How swiftly we forget the four Blackwater employees whose families have settled confidentially in 2012 citing abandonment and poor support. Stephen Helvenston, Jerko "Jerry" Zovko, Wesley J.K. Batalona and Michael R. Teague never got home (2004) to nice cozy cells and three squares a day. Their dismembered burned corpses were hung from the bridge in Fallujah. I suspect the real culprit is higher up and these four convicts are just scapegoated fodder for the Bush administration's use of civilians to do the military's dirty work-cheap and expendable.. http://media.hamptonroads.com/cache/...ges/764951.jpg

Throwing shoes ain't enough sometimes...

:agree:
That can happen when you go play in someone else's sand box... uninvited. :-?

Sad, they were in a war zone.Pretty sure this was covered up and they were scapegoated.Hopefully justice will rise above politics and they will win on appeal.

They would have to have grounds for an appeal. Just being unhappy with the verdict/sentence is not grounds.

:D

So now we draw the line...

I'm sure we can be articulate enough to get our point across in a more civil manner.
