Triple-Screen (5760x1080) Working!?

I built a triple screen rig about a year ago and could not run SH5 at any res except 1920x1080. I read in a lot of threads that larger resolutions were not possible.

But this week, I got a new GTX980 4GB card and installed Windows 7 64 fresh. I installed a bunch of stuff and games. Then I didn't want to have to go through all of the modding again in SH5. So, I went to my Acronis True Image backup and told it to Restore ONLY my SH5 folder. Of course it would not run because I didn't have UPlay installed. So I installed that, and ran SH5 again. And it just launched up into 5760x1080. And I loaded a mission at the same res... :o :o

Has anyone else been able to run 5760x1080? If I try to zoom in/out with the mousewheel in external view it locks up for a few seconds. Also click on the screen to turn your view in the sub locks it up for a few seconds. I was trying to be real careful not to crash it, and only ran it for about 5 minutes like this, then exited. UPlay opens when I launch the game. But in UPlay it want's me to install the game, so it doesn't know it's installed.

Good to know Snacko, I have the same resolution 5760x1080.

I think the trick is to comment out the resolution in the config file. Then it uses the desktop Res.

I saw it but I don't understand exactly what I have to do. Sorry I am not so familiar with modding and editing. A short explanation would be helpful.

Which file exactly? Where is it located?
Which line?

THX alot, I would love to play it with triples :)

I've tried as you said with no positive results. But yes I have triple screen. Sadly on the bridge the game freezes and seemes work only on binoculars, so I can't go to control room (test with historic mission «in spite of everything»).
Another clue: you can comment the line with the video resolution on the main.cfg or write there the correct resolution (5760,1080).

I have edited the main.cfg but as you said: Screens are black in the uboot, only outside view is working...

The game doesn't support this. So it may not work, or may only work a little. Some things are known not to work at all, an should be avoided.

All I did was copy the game from a backup after a Windows format and reinstall, and it worked. I never set up the resolution, so it used the windows desktop. The Res is still commented out in the config.
