Random CTD Problem
 

Hello everyone,

After deciding to try Sober's SH5 mod soup and being a bit disappointed in SH5, I gave SH3 GWX a spin again.

My problem is that the game randomly crashes sometimes while I am on patrol. I can't exactly pinpoint the problem, my modlist is really minimalistic. I am running Win 8 x64.

Here is the list:

Normally I would guess it's the Merchant Fleet Mod, but you're running Windows 8. How much RAM do you have? If it's 4GB or more, have you applied the 4GB patch?
I also noticed you didn't list H.sie's v16b1, which includes said patch, only the supplement and Stiebler's add-on. Don't you need the base v16b1 for those two to work?

If you have some bad units in your game [broken warships, ships, aircrafts - then Museum won't load. You can check this. Backup your game save folder, run new carrer with all your mads and check museum. If museum won't load [crash] problem is in units. One broken texture, one bad weapon config for one unit, or Id collision and game won't work good. Stock GWX should work fine, but you run it with large number of new units. Maybe the collision is between campaign files? Also many mods changes the same files. [dat, cam, zon, sim, dsd, cfg, eqp...] This can be everything.:know:
