Patrol craft dummkopf
 

This just happened to me and I was curious if anybody else ran into this Uberclown.
I was heading out of the Wilhelm-Kaiser Kanal when my lookouts spotted a small friendly patrol craft ahead.
Granted I was moving at 10 kts but I was in a hurry to get to deeper waters, surely he'll see that I'm heading out on patrol and to get outta my way!
Sure enough he slowly heaves to starboard, like he's checking me out or something (I guess he wanted to make sure I was a real U-boat :88)) and then he reverses engines and nicely positions himself right in front of me :o
I ordered full back but it was too late. End result; one sunk friendly patrol craft. This so called captain is lucky my boat wasn't damaged or I think I'd machine gun him right there in the water. I have half a mind to request a courtmartial...

Did the logs say you sunk it or was it blank?

The patrol craft was probably captained by Bernard :)

Nope, log doesn't show anything. Just a sunk blue icon on the map. But I guess my post was more to share an amusing story than anything else. Probably not worth a thread sorry, I was just so surprised about this AI behaviour :haha:
Also had to warn all you fellow Kaleuns that there's a patrol craft off Einlaufpunkt Wilhelm-Kaiser canal who appears to have had one too many :Kaleun_Party:
