Trouble in the East China Sea
 

Hi all, im having a bit of trouble with my SH4, I completed my first and second mission no worries but my next mission is patrolling the East China Sea, I have used up all my torps,went back to Midway for a refit and returned to my patrol area but I cant get any further, so far I have sunk over 100,000 tonnes and cant get to another mission,this happens all the time, 3rd mission go no further unless I end the patrol then I get penalised.
is there a fix out there?

Depending on stock or mod the patrol area objective will have limits in how far from the center of the star you can stray. Sounds like you've already spent a lot of game time so try just parking within 50nm of the center (submerged by day) for a couple of days and see if it clears after 72 game hours or so. Hope this helps.

Ahoy Harvs zoom in abit on the star take your compass and make a circle. Plot a course staying inside your circle. I make my circle around 47nm. 72 hrs later on to the next mission. If you leave the circle to engage enemy shipping your time starts again

Thanks for all your help and info, i am on my 3rd refit lol, will try tonight, buggers rattled the cutlery last night, they got a bit upset after losing 2 tankers but after reading the excellent books by Edward L Beach the evasion tactics worked.
