GWX Issues
Been playing with the combo of GWX 3.0 and SH3 Commander for about the past 2 weeks. I love it (so far), but found at least one bug, wondering if there's anything out there that fixes this? Actually, the bug is more with GWX than SH3 Commander...
When I start a game in 1939, there are three flotillas available. Kiel, Wilhelmshaven, and Konigsberg. When I start at Konigsberg, I don't get the radio messages about heading west into the bay to sink the target ships and return to base. When I start with either of the other two flotillas, I get the radio messages...seems backwards, esp. since from Wilhelmshaven, there's no way to get into the bay until the 2nd message comes telling me to go back to base. Not that it's affecting gameplay - heck, half the time, I ignore what the messages tell me ANYWAY. Anyway, just wondering if there's a mod out there somewhere that fixes this?? |

I have the "original" CD-ROM version of SH3 (Starforce). Added GWX 3 Gold. And have only played the training missions once. |
I'm still not sure why they did that. In real life, no U-boat flotilla was ever based at Königsberg. They have you sink ships which are friendly just to gain experience, but give you extra renown to pay for it. I would start a career in that port but then immediately dock, use Commander to set 'Days In Base' to 30 for that one patrol, then start your career around September 1st with 2500 renown. :sunny:

You are correct. My apologies. I didn't scroll down far enough.
