Disabling automatic move to navmap when resuming course?

Hi all!

Whenever I select Navigator -> Return to Course the uboat resumes it's plotted course (great) but I also automatically am moved to the NAVMAP screen, regardless of my current position in the boat (less great). Been searching a bit, but unable to find any solution, anyone know of a mod/trick to 'fix' this?

Thankful for assistance! :salute:

P.S. Had to select a prefix, selected TEC, sorry if I posted in the wrong forum or something.

well, an idea would be to attach the command to a keyboard - key:hmm2:.

But that is someting for the gurus here around...

I think it's a feature.:) I suspect it is hard-coded, and would take a code patch to change. While you might not always like the result (and sometimes I don't!), as a default I think it's probably better than the alternative. Doing nothing is the SH4 default, and it has led me into some gripping situations when I forgot what course I had previously set up. (Like one that headed straight back toward the escort!)

Anyone else know a way to do this trick?

With Setkeys you could make a chain of commands that would bump you right back to the view you want to. It's a very crude solution though. I just live wit it, or set the course manually, and then go back to autopilot when I get bored with having to deal with the course setting and dead reckoning myself.

Setkeys, that's a good tip, thanks!
