Question re. hydrophone
How do you turn the volume of the hydrophone up and if possible, reduce the background noise in the hydrophone room when listening to the hydrophone? Is there a cfg file I can adjust?
The volume switch does not work. I'm using NYGM and Thomsen's sound mod. Thanks in advance :salute: |

Hi,
Here's the useful information I got from Fubar: So open your 'commands_en.cfg' using notepad or similar text editor. Scroll to line..... [Cmd146] Name=Change_hydrophone_volume Ctxt=1 now edit it to this [Cmd146] Name=Change_hydrophone_volume Ctxt=1 Key0=0x5A,s,"Shift+Z" Now save. This will now make your 'Shift+Z' key binding raise the hydrophone volume. If you need a different key combo then you need the Decimal key value of your required keyboard key and the HEX conversion table. then just follow ronios helpful instructions. If I can do it anyone can MOST IMPORTANT B4 YOU START : Backup your commands_en.cfg !!!!!!!!!! For what it's worth I am using this method on a full on GWX install along with a ton of other mods (list available on request) and the Shift+Z does not conflict with any others. The above method cut out most of the background noise for me and helped a lot (thanks to Fubar). Hope it helps you too. |
Thank you
