Demis Roussos passes away
 

One of the giants in music - over 60 million albums sold - loved his songs.

Interesting in reading the news clip on his passing was this:

" Famously, he was caught up in a plane hijacking when flight TWA 847 from Athens to Rome was hijacked by members of Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad in 1985.

He and his third wife were held at gunpoint for five days before they were released. Some of his fellow passengers endured 17 days in captivity."

Yes, he actually sang to the captors and captives during the situation to help ease tensions and received much criticism for his efforts afterwards.
