Rod Taylor passed away!
http://variety.com/2015/film/news/ro...ne-1201396390/
RIP! Time Machine, The Birds, The Dark of the Sun, The Liquidator! Zabriskie Point, so many movies that I saw with him on TCM! |
I'll always remember him for his role in 'Time Machine' above other fine roles.
RIP |
Same here, an actor with real charisma. I loved him in War of the Worlds, Time Machine, and the Birds. An Aussie for the ages.
|
Yep, remember him well in The Birds, Long John Silver and The Time Machine. I saw Inglourious Basterds but until now I didn't realize he was in it.
|
He also starred as Travis McGee in Darker Than Amber, the only one of John D. McDonald's terrific book series to make it to the big screen.
And then there was one of my all-time favorites - 36 Hours, which starred James Garner as a courier being held by a German major who is trying to convince Garner the war is over and "debrief" him on the Normandy invasion. Taylor was very convincing as the German major. |
Great part in "The time machine"
RIP Rod. |
Bugger all. Fair winds. :salute:
|
He passed away couple of weeks ago!
That aside as said above he was a good actor. |

I found out yesterday, due to a talk with a friend about Jack Cardif work and we saw several movies with Rod Taylor. The normal, is he still alive and yes, because didn't saw anything about his death, etc. After the finding, I was perplex since it's normally here on GT having threads about the passing away of artist. |

I just spotted this. I can't believe there wasn't anything on the TV or radio about it. I guess a lot of younger people haven't seen his films. |
yes, passed away a few weeks ago.
His last part was in Inglorious Basterds. |
Yep, played the part of Churchill.
|
RIP....
