SINKING THE ATHENIA
 

Just for the hell of it, I decided that I was going to go and sink the Athenia. I headed out to Liverpool and arrived September 1, 1939. In real life the Athenia departed Liverpool on the 2nd at 1300 and was to sail to Belfast. I was posted up just outside the docks the entire day and no Athenia. Does SH3 and GWX not model real historic voyages such as this one? Any input on this would be great guys!

GWX has some of the big ones like the Norway invasion, Dunkirk, D-Day, ect. WB made a mod that scripts in a whole lot more historical voyages, adds more ships and planes, and works with GWX. It is called WB's USAM v69.61.1 and I like it. Whether that particular voyage of the Athenia is in it, I do not know.

Sounds pretty cool. What exactly does it do? I have never herd of it before.

I could not get it to work when loading my saved career file. It does work if I load a single mission file. As soon as I load my saved career, it crashes to desktop. Have no Idea why????? The merchant fleet mod works fine once I installed the 4gb patch.

Yeah....thanks.. that is where I downloaded his mod. Like I said only works on a single mission load. will not work on my saved career files. It crashes. I guess I will only be able to use this mod the next time I start a new career.
