NSA developing an attacker's mindset in prepping the US for digital future war

Compared to those ambitions, German ideas on what to do are naive. Infantile, and naive. Our chancellor still reiterates once or twice a year "how new" the internet still were for people.

Honestly said, I think the Americans will smoke Europe's computer network in a pipe during an easy brake on a lazy day. I expect that already now the doors to rivalling companies and corporations are wide open for them. Cyber defence in German understanding? I see no reason to take that German initiative serious.

No, the US has not always war in mind. It is all about peaceful hegemony. :03:

So how do we know that Spiegel isn't just making all this up?

We seek peaceful co-existence.

Even if it is hard to believe, outside the US most people ask right that that question about the NSA and other such agencies like GCHQ. And I think that indeed is the far more relevant question by now, after all that already had to be learned about them in past months and two years.

First, we will get them (Europe) hooked on funny cat videos, but since Germans don't have a sense of humo(u)r, we will just show videos of cats.

...then, the Russian driving videos.

Their 1200 baud modem network will grind to a halt.
