Getting up and running

Help needed getting up and running .. I have re installed SH3 on my lap top and im getting two errors when trying to load the 1st one Attachment 1283. And the 2nd Attachment 1284:dead:

Details

Before anyone can help you we need more information. What version of windows are you running? Is it a Steam version of the game? What version of the game?

Any mods loaded?

At what point in the load process do you get the error messages?

i am using windows 8.1. Can some one tell me where i find the version of the game... though i it was V 1.4

Is it a store bought copy of the game or the Steam version? The store bought copies of the games can be difficult to run in Win 7 and newer OS's because of the Starforce software on some of the store bought copies. I'm guessing it's not the Steam version because that typically gives you a graphic error (which is easier to fix). Or do you have a downloaded version from somewhere?
