Is there any fix for missing phrases, e.g. "Depth charges in the water, sir."?

I guess a lot of people have noticed this, phrases that were in SH3 (like "The enemy is pinging us" or more importantly, "Depth charges in the water") seem to be missing in SH4. I looked in the sound folder however and found there are actually speech files for them, but they never work. Is there any fix for this that I've missed or is it unfixable?

With something like this, someone probably would have fixed it by now, if it was possible. SONAR, sound, and all, is one of the areas where Ubi cut corners.

Those files were never triggered to go off with an event and it seems the trigger is in the code, not something we can mess with..
