GWX vs LSH3 v5.1

hey guys, I've given both LSH3 and GWX a try, but I'm having trouble deciding which one to go with. LSH3 has great visuals and cool new ships, but GWX has good visuals and adds more cities and ports to the game. One thing that I love is realism so here's my question. Which mod adds the most immersion and realism?

Realism is in the eye of the beholder and difficult to assess. Same for immersion. NYGM is reputed to have the most historically accurate gameplay. As someone (sorry, I don't remember who) has written here: "NYGM doesn't have the best graphics, but it gives you a nice accurate death." For me, NYGM has the right "feel" for the period and situation, and no, I can't tell you what I mean by that. YMMV. But do give NYGM a try. With Hitman's optics, IABL's ships, the h.sie and Stiebler patches, and Van's 1920x1080 mod, I think it's the best of a bunch of fine choices.

Nicely said, BW. There is also War Ace Campaign, which is said to have the most accurate ship movements. I can't answer the original question because my ancient computer won't run LSH3 at all. I thoroughly enjoy GWX but admit I would like to try the others someday. :sunny:

On the other hand, as Rockin' Robbins said, "Realism is in how you play, not in the game settings."

Go with both! And try the others, too!

BK has an excellent point. You can use SH3F or MultiSH3 to make multiple installs which will all stay out of each others' way. Then mod one with GWX, one with NYGM, LSH3, etc. Try them alland see which one you like best.
