French Soldiers bedroom, 100 years on.
Hi.
Did any of you see the article in the papers, or news. About the French LT. Whose family, in their will. Ask that the room, be left as is, for 500 years. As it is already 100 years, to date. Wow, what a time capsule, like the Romans, etc. In relation, too what can survive, as show us a window, into the past. And if it all went to auction, what would it be worth, into days money. (Not that, that is the most important, thing.) See Ya. |
Wot, even that crusty sock under the mattress?

I believe this is the article you are referring to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-29740037 http://www.theguardian.com/world/201...irst-world-war http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...l-bedroom.html |
Still pretty cool though; thanks for those great sites. A pity about the uniform jacket-given the availability of sealed containers and suitable preservatives.http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/...r_3081511c.jpghttp://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/...m_3081488c.jpg
