Captains White Hat mod
 

So, I had a mod on my previous machine that put the Captain's White Cap on the Watch Officer. I am on a new machine now and have no idea what this mod was called or where to locate it.

Anybody have any insight into this mod?

if we are talking about the same thing ,the cap you are looking for is included in a mod called ''Your U-boat Commander Uniform''.
the author of the mod is venatore so get it from Plissken's storage:

The link you posted takes me to an FTP login screen. Apparently I need a user id and login to get there.

this storage (Plissken's) is very famous here and i thought you knew about it.
keep his link somewhere safe whenever you look for a sh3 mod

the user-pass are the ones that HW3 allready gave you but maybe you must make use of the capital letters, try these:

The white hat appears to be a rar file. Do I need anything special to get it activated in game or just copy it into the game directory. Sorry guys, been a while since I've played, so I'm a little rusty on some of the non-JSGME specifically friendly mods.

That means that it is compressed for easier downloading, and must be unzipped first. The most popular tool for this job is http://www.7-zip.org/. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

I should have known that! Just shows how long it's been since I was playing SH3 all modded out.
