This reminded me about the time, back in the late 60's/early 70's when there was an anti-war/anti-Nixon protest at University of California Berkeley. The police powers that be at the time decided it was a good idea to drop tear gas canisters from a hovering helicopter on the demonstrators. The big problem with this idea was there was a campus hospital nearby and the wind and prop wash blew the gas cloud into the open windows of the hospital adversely affecting the patients and staff. One of my instructors was a fresh out of the academy state police officer during that time. He had been tasked to 'defend' a bank in Athens (Ohio University). While standing outside the bank, he had a college girl walk upto him and place a flower in the barrel of his shotgun.
