15 year old arrested for setting fire to Manchester animal shelter
I think the true animal was on the wrong side of the cage. :stare:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/490/7...e-is-demanded/ http://wqad.com/2014/09/12/dozens-of...er-in-england/ http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-manchester-29170371 What kind of sick [insert expletive of choice] would do such a thing? Clearly this act gave the arsonist "something".. some benefit. What could that possibly be? How can one's life be enriched by deliberately burning animals to death? The arsonist needs to be separated from our society. There is simply no place for this person among civilized people. My utmost respect to the residents nearby who broke into the shelter to rescue as many of these dogs as they could.. at great risk to their own lives. :salute: Quote:
I keep telling myself that for every bad person, there are more than one good person. Some days it is harder to believe that. |
Very sick. It's funny how I have more compassion for animals than people but people have bigger brains and should know better.

Thanks for posting that, I'm pleased it has drawn attention here...has been all over the UK for the past two days in news channels but I personally found it too distressing to post here (that is no criticism of you).
Donations are pouring in from places as far afield as US, Camada and Australia :sunny: |

I always thought that the way a person treats an animal is a strong indicator how they also might treat a human. I think the reason that some animal abusers enjoy it so much is the power they gain. Most dogs and cats will stay loyal(and fearful) to an abusive person. A friend had a dog for many years that had been taken form an abusive situation it took that dog a long time to get used to normal human behavior and he never got over certain things for example you could never touch his head he could never get over the fear that he was about to get struck. |

Got up this morning and saw something odd in the pool.
We get a lot of leaves blown in, but this leaf moved.. took a breath and then rested it's head under water again.... I beamed out the back door, whipped up the pool net and fished it out... a baby mole, about 4 inches long. Plonked him in the garden .. and he disappeared after having a rest - I felt good after that. |

My old VW Beetle had just been in for a repair once years back, and the guy who took it out for a test with me suddenly stopped, jumped out and ran round to the front, where he bent down to pick up a small toad (I hadn't even seen it) and placed it carefully in the grass... |
Today I read in the papers that 6 boys (ages 8 to 14) in Vienna lured in boar piglets to torture and kill them (one beaten to death, one strangled). The statement from one of the older perps was that they felt happiness doing it. :nope::nope::nope:
Isn't that how a good portion of serial killers start out, killing animals for fun? |
That kid ought to be horsewhipped. One lash for every dollar donated.
Flaming little b*****d. |
Agreed :yep:

It might be the 'first time', and if the gravity is not explained to the youth in the most determined way... they may never learn. Which also begs a question about the parents... and their children's 'life' education. There are so many stoopid irresponsible parents out there ?? |

Maybe they should just give this 15 year old an ASBO and release him..... after publishing his name, photograph, and address of course.
Perhaps some well meaning citizens could visit him for a good ol fashioned talk. Might just what this person needs. :03: |
