Is someone taking the piss?

Is Fair Work taking the piss? Truck driver awarded $16,128 in unfair dismissal compensation after urinating on a Woolworths warehouse wall.

He probably would have won in a UK Employment Tribunal as well...

I actually agree that dismissal was too harsh despite his actions. As a caution to employers, make sure you go through proper procedures before sacking someone.

My wife's company fires people for less... :)

They're given a company policy rulebook, and any contraventions result in severe ruling's - and I agree with it too, as people are chancers and full of it.

The company has a legal department, who are well ahead of any defense labour lawyer. Any 'miss-conduct' and they throw the book at you.
