It is safe generaly speaking. We used to eat flowers as a drinking game
when I was stationed in Germany. It was not a popular game with German bar owners so we had to stop playing. Turns out that eating a food and beverage establishments flower arrangements is not a good method to improve German-American relations. |
"Safe generally speaking"? Possibly, but there are flower species known to be toxic. https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/Profile?pid=524

Yeah plenty of toxic plants of course and some that may not kill you but one that are not palatable.
