im not getting the message box
 

hey guys, one time when I was playing sh3 when the message pop up box came up I checked the box that said "chose for default action" (something like that I cant remember). How do I get the message box back?

I followed the instructions in the thread and I tested it in a single mission, but I still did't get the message box. HELP!!

Sometimes you won't get the message box if the weather is adverse. For example, if you see a merchant ship and the wind speed is 15 m/s it won't offer you the engage target dialogue box because manning the deck gun is not an option.

Or it's possible this option only works in the career mode and has no effect in single missions.

thanx I got the messages working, another question I was playing and it was raining but the sea was pretty smooth, but when I tried to put men on the deck I got a message that said 'can't man guns in rough seas" and the sea was very smooth. I am using MEP 4.3, is that a bug with MEP 4.3?

I believe rain or high winds prevents you from using guns, but the messages are reversed. If it's windy it will say that you cannot man the deck in a storm, even though it's not raining whereas if it's raining but not windy it will say rough seas.

I would say no, but others may have different opinions based on their operating system, mods, and other factors.

ok another question I looked at sh3 commander and for some reason when I clicked on the info for the 11th flotilla it said from 8/41 to 7/44:error. then when I started a career in that time I spawned way down by Africa. whats up with that?!

Are you using the GWX - Alternative Flotillas mod?
If yes, open the en_menu.txt file ((located at Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu) with Notepad and make sure after the entry 765=Königsberg you've the line 766=La Rochelle, too. I'm confident it'll work now. :up:
