Can't upgrade from IIA
 

It is April of '40, on my 11th patrol, have 6000+ renown (6067.72 to be exact), transferred to 2nd Flotilla, but cannot upgrade to a new sub, the only choice is the IIA!? I think I should be able to get a VIIB right? Not sure what is up.
Using LSH3 5.1 and no other mods.

You have to change port to "Erprobungsflotille Kiel". This is the way to change your sub.

I'm using GWX 3.0 so YMMV but in my second career, as a Kaleun of a TypeIIA when I return to port after my first patrol I saw that in order to be assigned a Type VIIB uboat I need at least 7000 renown (I remember also a cost of 9500 renown, perephes for a Type IX, I do not remeber well)... Maybe it is because of that?

In LSH every new sub just costs 100 renown. But for a new sub you have to change to "Erprobungstelle Kiel" - as shown in the manual.

Another question: Did you activate the "_LSH3_V5" before activating "_LSH3_V5.1"?

Thanks Paulebaer1979 just read the section on how "take-over of new submarine types was fundamentally changed differing from the original game" my bad, thanks for setting me straight.

I do have LSH3_V5 first then LSH3_V5.1 second then all the remaining LSH pieces I have selected.
