Partial radio transmissions?

In GWX, you get a lot of traffic like a uboat saying, "Depth charged, flooding. sin..."

Which is then followed up by 3-4 calls from control pleading for a status update. Which is annoying as it knocks me out of TC. :)

I am probably going to install the "low radio messages" mod next time around.

Anyway, if a message was encrypted, and not fully transmitted, could the partial message be decrypted to read as it is displayed in game?

If I'm not mmistaken, boats were ordered to broadcast in the open in situations likely leading to the boat to be lost.

I think it was to give BdU a better sense of who is still in the patrol line, to know the fate of a boat for sure, etc.

and if the boats going to be lost anyway, there is really nothing lost by the open channel transmission.

That makes sense.

In which case, I would preface my final transmission with "FU Britain...depth charged, flooding, sin..."

:)

If they're going to sink their first duty is to destroy the cipher. After that they transmit in the open.

@maillemaker - BTW not a user of h.sie's patches? He has an option to stop the TC stoppage from immersion radio messages.
