Compatibility with Win8.1

I recently purchased a new computer with Win9.1 that has "downgrade rights" with Win7Pro. No matter what I do I cannot get this game to play -- it crashes as it is loading. Is DW incompatible with Win8?

"We don't know if Windows 9 will be available as an upgrade from Windows 7 that you can buy as a standalone product or if you'll have to have Windows 8 to get the upgrade. But it may not be with us for a while yet - Windows business chief Tami Reller has talked about "multiple selling seasons" for Windows 8, meaning that we'll likely have several versions of it.

Reports so far are that DW doesn't work on Windows 8. If 8.1 makes a difference is something that I haven't heard about yet. But don't let that stop you from trying if you can. Maybe you are clever enough to find the way to make it so.
