Depth under keel/Convoy Routes?
 

So, here i am hunting, I had a couple questions for you folks.

First is there a way to find the depth under keel? it seems sort of hit or miss. i either end up hitting the bottom of the ocean, or i don't. Sometimes the depth is to shallow to go to periscope depth, but it gives just the same general "Shallow water" warning. I know in SH3 you could Ping the depth under keel, is there a way to do that in SH5?

Second, Any of you guys have the lowdown on where the Convoy routes are around in late '39-'40. I sat around in the straights around scappa flow, all i seemed to find were destroyers and PT boats.

For depth under keel, there should be an icon for pinging depth at the bottom of the depth orders section of the interface , on the lower left, as far as shipping routes, I recommend using the "TDW newui with tdc 7.4.2" mod, which comes with a detailed map of all shipping routes

I believe there are other versions of "TDW newui with tdc" mod. As well as other user interface mods altogether. And there may also be stand alone chart mods for shipping route maps. I'm sure more experienced skippers will chime in shortly,
