Was looking at this news story this morning and felt quite sick at the thought of what has taken place.

Looks like she's admitted the crimes so is the death penalty still an option in Utah?

99% sure it still is.

C'mon now! a little post-partum depression consideration here gents!:nope: The lately incarcerated Mr. West (her hubby) sure didn't take any chances on being an 'accessory after the fact'. Of similar interest where the death penalty in #1 in executions-Texas- was overturned; and sure to come up in defense: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrea_Yates @Jimbuna: Utah still has execution by lethal injection; the firing squad was discontinued but is available if selected prior to 2004.
