Good stuff. Sadly, after the $3.00/gallon fuel is taxed, it will be $5.50/gallon.

Who knows what the future may bring.

It's exciting to dream of futuristic naval aircraft diving in like giant pelicans, topping off, or as graceful as eagle's talons snatching a meal, skimming just inches above the surface.

I'm sure by the time naval aviation can accomplish that they wont be running on fossil fuels anymore.

How long before the Chinese 'invent' the same process?

I wonder what happened to that new tech that turns any carbon based material into oil?
Last I heard, they had a pilot plant up and running next to a Turkey processing plant using Turkey offal to feed the process. It produces cleaner oil than the sweetest crude out of the ground, plus other usable chemicals like methane to fuel the reaction process. Almost self sustaining. Cleaner oil takes fewer steps to crack it into gasoline. Any kind of carbon based garbage can be broken down to its base carbon elements. Even plastics.

My guess is that the government will bury it because the oil barons say so.
