Is that what they are calling it now? :O:

Or are you looking at some Twin Peaks cross border shenanigans, one-eyed Jack's style?

Besides, if I wanted dope, just go to Seattle and breath the air.

So basically, I want to buy my insulin from Canada.

Do the math: US price for Humalog= ~$175; Canadian price....:o ~$35.

Time to take a road trip.

I had a good healthplan, but not any more. You can guess who ruined that.

I did a little bit of research today (I'm at work) and reading some of the rules...:shifty::shifty::shifty: smurf, how the US is smurfed up.

Check your U.S. Customs rules to see if you can import it. The FDA might have something to say about it.

Jimbuna 03-31-14 08:10 AM

With such a huge disparity in prices Jason, I should imagine importing won't be allowed :hmmm:

To the best of my knowledge you can't get it over the counter. You do need a prescription for it, so it will depend on whichever drugstore you talk to allowing a prescription from an American Dr.

These guys said they mail order to the US:hmmm: w/o problems. I don't know about that, but they do have an actual, walk in store. They take prescriptions from US Drs.

What are some names of Canadian chain pharmacies? Like Walgreens or CVS.

I'm more worries about scam pharmacies where they sell yousome knock off North Korean insulin.

I.D.A., Rexall, and Shoppers Drugs. Guardian is a knock off from Rexall.

swamprat69er 03-31-14 04:26 PM

There is a I.D.A. in White Rock, BC a hop, skip and a jump from the border.

There are three Rexall Drugs in Surrey.

Three Shoppers Drug Mart in Surrey

swamprat69er 03-31-14 06:08 PM

No problem. and you are welcome.

nikimcbee 03-31-14 08:41 PM

Harumph, They (the above pharmacy) doesn't take non-Canadian prescriptions.:dead: Back to square one.

Maybe I could see a Canadian doctor, get a Canadian prescription...

Still needs more research.

swamprat69er 03-31-14 08:44 PM

I didn't think they would, but I have been known to be mistaken before.
Did you find out what they want for the insulin?
