Anti-Gun CA Senator arrested for....
Firearms trafficking! You just can't make this stuff up.
California senator, alleged mobsters netted in American Hustle-style FBI sting (foxnews) Leland Yee Crusaded For Gun Control Before Indictment On Gun Charges (CBS local news) 'Uncle Leland' involved in arms deal, FBI affidavit alleges (Sacramento Bee) Calif. State Sen. Leland Yee accused of firearms trafficking (Christian Science Monitor) The Indictment Against Leland Yee Puts "The Wire's" Clay Davis to Shame (San Francisco Magazine) Leland Yee denounced by gun lobby as a 'hypocrite' and 'scumbag' (Los Angeles times) I'd also give a link to a CNN article, but they are oddly silent on this. Anyway, I think this may have made my whole year. :har: This has to be a classic example of "Do as i say and not as i do". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leland_Yee#Gun_control Quote:

You probably find that they're all crooked, and there's a puppeteer pulling the strings.
If you don't comply.. you get snagged like this, and if you squeal, you get buried - so this is most likely a warning from one slimeball to another :hmmm: |
:o:doh:
|
Talk about your double standardized conflict of interest.
Next will come all the "forgive me I'm human and I have sought counseling" platitudes. C'mon Leland! Man up, for the resort prison ain't so bad!:haha: |

Reminds me of the senator who was anti-homosexual but was discovered with a "wide stance" in a men's room. :nope:
Hypocrites. :nope: |

If an item is banned/illegal for the general public to own, then the price of the item skyrockets. On top of it all this A-hole is a hypocrite!

Typical arrogant politician with a "do as I say, not as I do" attitude. :nope:
Vote them all out! |
Maybe a few years in the general population of Leavenworth would make him see the error of his ways?
|
Do as I say. Not as I do.

What an idiot, politicians are supposed to sell weapons to dodgy terrorists, not buy them.

Don't worry, the DOJ has it covered. |
I gotta say I'm a bit skeptical about this and I wonder if he is being framed, or if this is something designed to seriously damage his credibility.
Also his selling weapons that were being sourced from a Muslim rebel group is a little fishy. Rebel groups tend not to sell their weapons as they are usually having enough difficulty supplying themselves (unless of course they would double their money in the sale). There are other things too that make me go hmmm about this. But he could be guilty too, who knows. |
Most unusal...a hypocritical politician :hmmm:
