guess who just got his order

howdy,

I usually avoid being an 'attention whore' but my recent order entitles me to go 'full ret...'
Here we go, in a nutshell.

I needed some books for my accounting studies and found a cheap set in one of online stores. Then I realized that the very same store had in its offer two books/albums which I always wanted.
Deutsche Soldaten
and
Allgemeine SS 1939-1945
Surprisingly, the prices for these two were also the lowest among other stores.

The order arrived just a few minutes ago.:smug:

nope, sorry. A lil bit late to the party, Jim. Already used the heroin and the knife is completely blunt.
I can send you the books instead - I've already read them.:)

true but judging from your IT course results you could grasp Polish in like...2 weeks? :)
besides, the books are all pictures. (well, mostly)

I remember this book...it was insanely pricey.
I have the first edition (the picture below) which is divided into 4 parts and doesn't cover midget submarines and is only in Polish. Each part contains printed schematics. (A1 size or sth like that)
I'm curious - did they add any schematics to the second edition?

I have those four books in Ebook format, the pictures are second to none but the only drawback for me is the Polish text....fantastic books though.

Line drawings mostly in 1:35 and 1:48 scale but there was a separate detached sheet with them all on as well as 8 double-sided Kriegsmarine type maps folding out to 50cmx70cm showing the locations of each sunken allied warship and aircraft, the location of each Operation Deadlight victim, each U-boat sinking and a graph/tabular sheet showing U-boat production levels and comparisons with losses on a month by month basis.

Another big plus was the multitude of first class photographs (as in the four previous books) and the artwork examples of the colour schemes used by the U-boats and midget classes...not to mention the text is in English.

All in all, a pricey volume but quality doesn't come cheap.
