Thanks to Johnfb i have managed to get SH3 to run on Win8.1.Sadly i cant seem to get the GWX Mod to work.I think i will persevere with SH3 sans GWX and just use mods to enhance the exoerience.Once again many thanks to those that helped me.

We can persevere and get GWX working for you if you want or you can just enjoy it as is.
I used the stock game for ages and modded the life out it, before I finally got GWX running on my W8 pc,and used commander too so it wasn't all that bad!

Jawohl,i have a freighter on plot and closing in.This small graphics artifact is starting to annoy me,LOL.I am sure its associated with the wake as i got get it when looking forrad.I am at a loss what the issue with GWX is.I basically get EXCATLY the same size screen but black as i do when i try to run SH5.
