Reporting for Duty
Found this website awhile back and really liked what I saw. It's taken me some time to decide to register and become a part of an online community such as Subsim. I've had an interest in submarines since I was a small boy. I served in the Navy for three years back in the mid 70's. I was attached to an attack squadron based out of Lemoore, California. Took one Westpac cruise aboard the carrier Kitty Hawk in '75. My favorite sub movie is Das Boot. I picked up Silent Hunter III about two years ago because I was interested in U-boat warfare and have really enjoyed playing the game. When I found this site I noticed all of the mods available to upgrade SH III. Really looking forward to doing that. If there are mods you could suggest for this newbie, I would appreciate your input. The GWX mod looks great. Probably download that soon.
