But they already do that?

They already make them brightly colored or transparent... :hmmm:

Some aren't...but you can't buy them in California anyway.

Smith & Wesson, for instance, makes several handguns with pink hand grips to appeal to women. Another manufacturer, Milton, makes rifles designed for use by children that are colored hot pink, royal blue and with multicolor swirls.

Uh... seriously? I mean, I get the second amendment and all that, but isn't designing a gun for children a bit... stupid? I mean, I wouldn't trust myself with a gun, much less someone younger than me.

Yes you can. I've bought both the M1A1 and the 1928 models of the Thompson sub-machine guns from Big 5. It just depends on city ordinances.

Yes. They make youth models of rifles.

Savage Axis Youth

Browning X-Bolt Micro

Walmart even has it's own category/department

Youth Rifles at Wal-Mart

Would you trust yourself if you were taught gun safety at a young age? It's just something we grow up with here. (Doesn't stop us from playing war with BB/Pellet guns :O: )

I thought it was a state-wide deal. All I ever see is "YOU CANNOT BUY THIS IN CALIFORNIA" ... says nothing about city ordinances...

:hmmm:

On-line distributors just write CA off.

Big 5 in 94901 area code.

Makes sense to me, especially if it helps reduce shooting tragedies involving children.

kranz 01-30-14 06:09 AM

what if real bad guys paint they real Kalashnikovs pink?

Oberon 01-30-14 07:00 AM

Of course they make rifles for children, see?

Wouldn't want to be the bird that just pooped on his face!!

Wolferz 01-30-14 07:34 AM

:haha: It's just Avian camouflage paint.

They need to paint his rifle pink so he can blend in with the dresses at dress barn and question his sexual orientation.

I wouldn't want to have an M1A1, I'm too scared of the fuel bill.:timeout:

I think I'll go with the Leopard II instead.:O:

It always amazes me how many "double designations" you have for military equipment.

Then airsoft guns would have to be black to differentiate.:88)

swamprat69er 01-30-14 09:25 AM

Okay, now what is stopping the kids from taking their brightly colored imitation guns and painting them to look more 'realistic'? Just asking.

Tango589 01-30-14 09:40 AM

Then the bad guys would paint their guns pink so they look 'real'. The wheel keeps on turning...
