New Orders Received.

Hello. I have DarkWraiths mod installed UIs. I am currently on British Coastal Waters 09/09/39 and loitering outside the Firth of Forth.
However I have just received new message orders ordering my boat to go around the British Isles and patrol outside of Portsmouth! At BF1219 The order also asks othe boats to go via the English Channel. I presume it wants me to head North in a anti clockwise fashion.
Does anyone know what BF stands for? Plus will this new order affect my British Coastal Waters campaign. And could I ignore it or ist in the actual game?
Many thanks for any ideas.

It's a Kriegsmarine Grid Map reference. You can google it and find pictures of the maps and info on them. Someone in forums use to have a collection of them that you can download, I don't know if its still around.

I might as well package them and upload them for people.

I don't remember what the 4 digits are, maybe a different system. Usually a grid system would be, BF12 is were you should go to patrol for a ship.

This mod will put a overlay of the grid on you map in game.

The last 2 numbers for the grid are subgrids within the grid itself to help pinpoint a specific area. There used to be a grid map that showed them, but I believe it was for SH3 and/or SH4. Do a search on the internet for actual WWII Germany Navy grid maps and you'll see what I mean.

This should explain it clearly enough.

Thank You for all your help. Message said go aroud British Isles. And didn't metion English Channel. So heading North around Scarpa then thro Irish sea and back south towards Liverpool towards Lands End tip of Cornwall onto south coast to Portsmouth. Hope it doesn't stop my British coastal mission. Have only sunk one merchant and that wa in port in Tyne. But if FDU has ordered then I must obey orders.
I will endeavour to break out the salami rations to keep morale up ( if chef permits). Or pop in at Cornwall for Cornish pasties.
Much appreciated to all for advice. Happy hunitng.
