An idea for a subsim party

It dawned on me that next year will be the 10 year anniversary of......SHIII.:woot::woot::woot:
It's hard to believe it's been 10 years and the game is still going strong. Maybe we could do something in Chicago.

Just an idea.:Kaleun_Binocular:
Any thoughts?

GoldenRivet 01-23-14 04:02 PM

I'd be all over that. Good thinking

Jimbuna 01-23-14 04:42 PM

Could be interesting to see who is up for it

Tchocky 01-23-14 05:08 PM

Ah, the Windy Apple :)

I'm game.

fireftr18 01-23-14 05:17 PM

I'm up for it. Someone earlier mentioned Charleston, I'm up for that too.

We should go cruising or something LOL. Playing subsims on a big ship is the best experience of your life.

While that does sound like fun, I can think of a lot of things I'd be more likely to call "the best experience of my life". Even on a cruise ship I can think of better things to do than play computer games.

Hard to believe it's almost been 10 years with the old girl.

We'd be fools not to celebrate somehow

Sailor Steve 01-23-14 07:05 PM

Maybe I'll celebrate by playing SH3. I would also be glad to get together with other subsimmers. I'm not sure I want to get together with other subsimmers and then ignore them by playing games I can play at home. I'd rather, you know...talk?

Dirty secret about subsim meets, no subsimming actually happens.:Kaleun_Party: We spend all the time looking at ships, drinking, and general comradery. ...or watching great naval flicks.

But between GWX, SHIII commander, and Steve's ship roster list, you can't beat SHIII.

I'm pretty sure the Cavella Clean up was 08 wasn't it?
:hmmm:
The Grey Wolves were 'scouting' Bars in Houston incase the clean up Guys wanted a nice place to visit when that job was done.

We found a bunch of them.
:D

I've been to the U-505. You really have to visit that if you have the chance!
It is stunning!

Buddahaid 01-23-14 08:56 PM

Sounds fun but I just dropped my 2014 travel funds into a week long Mardi Gras trip. :arrgh!:

I do plan on looking up the Higgin's boat there if I can fit it in with all the rest of the plans.
