Das Boot Music Mod [REL]
In downloads section
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=4293 There are 2 files attached, 1st is for the gramophone and it is part of the sound track. Just copy and paste into the gramophone folder. It will then play along with your other gramaphone files. 2nd is for the main menu music. This adds all Das Boot music to battle scenes, background music while at sea (third file named intro is 40 minutes of das boot medley) and the general main menu too. Back up original if you need to replace these files after trying them in case you dont like them. .ogg formats. |

john,
nice work..just a heads up, you must spell gramophone this way in order for it to work i would package your mod this way (place your music and gramophone folders in the sound folder you create: das_boot_music_mod/data/Sound/ |

Hi there Johnfb
I've downloaded your mod and I've put it into the required folder (I think) but my computer won't read an 'ogg' file. Is there something I should do? Other sound files within the game can be opened with media and are classed as 'wav' files. Hope you can help. Cheers |

The sound I'm particularly interested in from Johnfb's mod is the Das Boot main menu music. However it doesn't appear to work on opening the game so I must have put the files into a wrong folder: Program Files (x86)-Steam-SteamApps-common-Silent Hunter 3-data-Sound-Menu Is that correct? I only seem to have luck with mods when using JSGME. I love how much you help anyone on this forum. I quite often trawl to find out any info I might need. Best regards to you. :salute: |
The sound files in the download file just override the existing ones so if you copy and paste them into wherever your sound files are then your computer should ask you if you want to replace the original sound files and when you accept, they overwrite them. Save original sound files first incase you have an issue later.
