Bitmap fail
 

Hi folks,have had DW for a month or two, downloaded from steam into default steam location have had no problems and have played about 16 hrs on vista 64.
Today I tried to launch the game,but it wont start and I get "error 12010 bitmap failed to load"
I have since discovered that I get the same message when I try to start fleet commmand, sub command and 688i all of these games I have played before without any problems.Other games not affected.
Any ideas would be much appreciated

Any chance this is related to scenario files or other kind of mods added to the game? And the Steam folder it is in is likely somewhere in the Program Files folder!?!

If the above is true, then UAC (User Account Control) likely prevented saving the files into the game directory without proper Administrator credentials given. If not, then I don't know.

I seem to remember I had once a problem like your one, perhaps just with the same failure message...I seem to rember it was fault of the screen resolution that was of values not supported by the game. You may try with other ones if you haven't tried it yet.
