Conning tower hatch won't open.
 
When I dive to periscope depth and then resurface, sometimes the conning tower hatch won't open but my crew is on deck! I cant get up there with them. This issue happens occasionally. I have heard because the sea might be rough but if so, why is the crew on deck (using the ext camera I can see them.)

Any ideas?

The hatch must be at 6 or less meters to open and may occasionally slam shut in mid ladder ascent in rough seas; to save time, I just open and SHIFT 'H' to teleport to the bridge. Works from the deck gun position as well as I do my own gunnery.:salute:

When I click on it to open it won't budge. Very strange.

Usually a save/load-back fixes this bug when I used to play SH5.

one of the first things I noticed with this game is the crew on the bridge deck has issues where sometimes a crew man will stand on the hatch and you cant open it.

I have had to bump into him to push him around sometimes until he moves out of the way then the hatch works.

its got something to do with crew placement positions because there isn't a lot of room up there and sometimes he spawns on the hatch preventing you from going up but also when you are up there and are moving around up there and turn just the right way he will step back onto the hatch and you cant open it to leave until you move him out of the way first.

The hatch has locked on me, I was at decks awash. Or below 7 meters possibly in heavy seas. When this has happened I teleported to sonar and dived the boat.

The hatch usually locks when in heavy seas and often stays locked, but as I said before, saving and loading helps this.

Also, banging on the hatch screaming at it to open is also a viable option. :D

Sometimes teleporting can fix this odd bug - then diving and surface again and it should open this time!

C4 will also open it from inside or outside. ;) :D

mostly this happens to me when on rough seas but i have never have it completely lock before

is there a script that can be changed or something. It stinks cause I don't like the teleporting feature it takes away the realism for me. It does have its moments but I like to keep it as real as I can. If I could change the depth to keep the door open until depth 8 that would be perfect.

If this is possible can anyone point me in the right direction. I am not a scripter even a little.
