Realism settings keep changing and a targeting question.
 

I use custom settings (everything enabled except manual targeting) but it seems they reset to medium when I start the game. Any ideas?

I am still quite new to this sim. Can anyone tell me what the markers 1, 2, and 3 are on the map when targeting torpedoes? When I lock on I see these three numbers appear on the yellow target line.

I hate trying to use manual targeting... I HATE math. ;) although I am sure its much more rewarding when you hit. I just pretend it's getting done by a crewman who is an expert.

You have to be in port in a mission then make the changes, not in the main menu.
