while there is the obvious sticking points on petty issues the real problem is that none of the "statesmen" have the balls to open a real truth commission like that nasty negro terrorist did in S. Africa.

A veritable minefield but thankfully most of the violence is now a thing of the past.

I doubt there'll be anything like a truth commission until the generations involved are in pine boxes. Probably another twenty to thirty years or so.
Still, baby steps and all that, the progress made in even my short lifetime has been impressive, and while there's still a long way to go and there is still a lot of tension under the bonnet, it's a vast improvement over thirty years ago.
